Most copy fails before a single word is written.

A big part of what I do isn't writing — it's deciding what should be written, who it's for, and whether it will actually work. Strategy is the difference between copy that fills a page and copy that fills a campaign.

Reach

Who you're really talking to.

Before I write anything, I map your donor: what they believe, what they fear, what they already give to. Reaching the right person beats reaching more people, every time.

Involve

Make donors feel like insiders.

Donors don't give to causes. They give to belong to something. I build messaging that pulls supporters into the story, so giving feels like joining, not like being asked.

Decide

Know what works before you spend.

Hunches are expensive. Through research, testing, and audience data, I help you decide which message, channel, and offer is worth the budget, before you commit it.

Words are the last 10%. Strategy is the 90% that decides whether they work.

A note on AI

Why not just use AI?

If you don't know where you're going, AI can take you anywhere.

AI is a brilliant pattern-guesser. It's a terrible strategist. You can use AI to produce words. But producing words isn't the problem. Knowing which words, in what order, for which donor, at which moment: that's strategy. And strategy is something AI cannot give you.

Donors don't give to algorithms. They give to visions they trust, visions communicated by someone who understands the why behind every sentence.
